Kainchi Dham Trust Exposes The Truth With Evidences
By Kamal Jagati, Nainital
Following the sharing of false information on social media and portals about the world-famous Kainchi Dham Ashram in Nainital, Uttarakhand, its fifty year old trust has shared accurate information and facts through its lawyer.
Rajiv Bisht, the lawyer representing the Kainchi Dham Trust, came forward today through the media and shared information related to the temple trust. He stated that in 1974, under the Religious Endowments Act 1890, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh transferred all of the Kainchi Dham's assets to the trust, following which the property was gazetted on March 6, 1974. As per the rules, 13 members of the trust have changed since then. The government audits this trust annually. The audit has been completed through March 31, 2024. The temple's income tax returns are also filed regularly. The allegations made are baseless and made without proper information. He further clarified that the SBI team, in collaboration with the Kainchi Dham Trust, counts the offerings received at the temple and before transferring them to the bank. Advocate Rajiv stated that some portals and news channels, along with social media, are spreading false news without verification. Speaking on the public interest litigation pending in the court, he requested social media, portals, and news channels not to commit contempt of the High Court in absence of accurate information.
It should be noted that Thakur Singh Dasila, a resident of Pithoragarh, wrote letter to the Honorable Chief Justice of the High Court, alleging financial irregularities and encroachments around Kainchi Dham. The court treated the matter as a public interest litigation and sought a response from the government. Meanwhile, some news portals, YouTubers, and social media channels began spreading negative and misleading news to tarnish the image of Kainchi Dham. Today, Kainchi Dham's advocate, Rajiv Bisht, appeared before the media and revealed the truth about the temple. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for March 18th.
